Here’s a portion of a transcribed cast. If you’re looking for an easy way to create blog content for your website, I suggest recording yourself. It’s very easy to do, and can result in some very lengthy blog posts – which help with search engines!

This is Kevin Downey with Blogger Local Corporate. I’m the Vice-President of Development for Blogger Local. I wanted to reach out to all of the businesses out there in the United States that do not have a Blogger Local site in their city. If you are looking for some great blog content for your business, and it can be frustrating, I know, because that’s how we started. We started with the basic premise that writing on a continual basis is very difficult and writing weekly can be frustrating. Again, it’s very time consuming for a business owner.

One of the tricks that you can use is do very similar to what we do and that is record your posts. If you have Thought for the Day, Thought for the Week, any tips, tricks, reviews, how-to’s, anything you can come up with, sales announcements, job openings, for your business that you can put out there as readable blog content, go ahead and record yourself and get it transcribed. It is a very, very effective way to create good amounts of blog content that has a lot of SEO value. Then, of course, you can always summarize it for a reader on the front end of the post and make it digestible for them as well, and something that they can quickly scan and get the information out of that they’re looking for.

Again, if you’re looking for blog content and you don’t have a Blogger Local reporter in your city, if we don’t have a city page for you yet, go ahead and start working on your blog content. Make sure to do it on a weekly basis at the very least. Go ahead and start doing recordings in the car, do it on the road, do it while you’re out and about, at night after the kids go to bed, whatever you have to do to get it done. You’ve got to get that blog content in there. Don’t forget to do your links. You’ve got to do links within the page on the core key words, your business name, and get the links done in there to get best, highest SEO value out of it.

Anyway, this is Kevin Downey, Vice-President of Business Development at Blogger Local. Just giving you a thought for the day. I’ll be checking in tomorrow. Thank you very much.
